Parker McLachlin overcame a stuttering final round to secure his first PGA Tour victory at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open.
McLachlin went into the final round with a commanding six shot lead - having set a course record over 54 holes.
And although he could only manage two-over-par final round, the 29-year-old still finished clear of the chasing pack - with Brian Davis and John Rollins seven shots back on 11-under.
"It feels like it has been a lifetime coming. It has been a dream of mine since I was about 12," said McLachlin, who is only in his second season on the PGA Tour.
"This is a huge stepping stone for me."
Pressure
Londoner Davis had trailed McLachlin by only four strokes with five holes to go, however his title hopes vanished after a double bogey and two bogeys.
However McLachlin admitted that up until that point Davis had had him under pressure.
"Brian was putting the heat on and I was feeling it. I was just gutting it out," McLachlin said.
"I didn't have much in the tank. It was all I had. I'm pretty spent right now."
Despite his stuttering finish seeing him card a final round 75, Davis still finished a shot clear of Martin Laird, Harrison Frazar, Eric Axley and Ryan Palmer.
