American planning to give up game by age of 42

Boo Weekley has admitted he will look to quit the game of golf by the age of 42 so he can concentrate on his true love - hunting. The charismatic Floridian has never made any secret of the fact he is far from one of the game's great students and has now even acknowledged he "fell into" the sport. At 35, Weekley - who will be teeing it up at this week's Scottish Open at Loch Lomond - claims he could only have a few more years left in the game. The US Ryder Cup star insists he would rather spend his time relaxing at home than out on the course and is already making plans to put his clubs away for good. "If anybody's read up on me on the internet or whatever they do - I don't know how you get on there and do that - but they'll understand that I have worked a real job and I just fell into golf," he told Sky Sports News. "I just got lucky and the Lord's blessed me and I just fell right into it. "I just play it to make a living. "I ain't got but just a couple more years, I figure if I can keep making the money I've been making I can retire by the time I'm 42 and just sit around the house and just chill out and hunt fish."
