Defending champion Kenny Perry has pulled out of the Buick Open in order to spend time with his ill mother. Perry's mother, Mildred, is under hospice care as she fights blood cancer. He has chosen not to defend his title at Warwick Hills from July 30-August 2. The 48-year-old has won twice on the PGA Tour this season and lost a play-off to Angel Cabrera at the Masters.
