Gary Woodland became the latest 2011 winner to punch his Masters ticket after winning the Transitions Championship in Florida. It's become a theme on the PGA Tour this season that tournament winners hadn't until that point been heading for Augusta National. But now, with his victory in Tampa Bay, Woodland has become the seventh player in the current calendar year to be asked in his post-round press conference about the added bonus of a spot in The Masters. Woodland said thoughts about The Masters didn't creep into his mind as he battled for his first ever PGA Tour victory but said he was "so excited" to have it confirmed later that he had booked his place. "I'm looking forward to the Masters. I've never been there, so I'm looking forward to being there," said the 26-year-old. The other six winners this season to have secured a late Masters spot are Rory Sabbatini (Honda Classic), Aaron Baddeley (Northern Trust Open), Jonathan Byrd (Tournament of Champions), Mark Wilson (Sony Open), Jhonattan Vegas (Bob Hope Classic) and D.A. Points (Pebble Beach).
