Stricker - the highest ranked player in the field at the US Tour's season-opener - closed out victory with a final round 69 and the win lifted him a spot from sixth to fifth.
The American's elevation makes him the leading non-European in the list again after he moved ahead of Australian Adam Scott.
Scotland's Martin Laird birdied five of the last seven holes to finish second and improved his position from 47th to 33rd.
The biggest mover in the top 10 was American Webb Simpson, whose tie for third place lifted him from 10th to a career-high seventh.
Louis Oosthuizen also made a big leap after his win in the European Tour's Africa Open at East London on Sunday.
The South African started the week ranked 40th but is up to 26th in the updated standings.
England's Luke Donald still leads the ranking list ahead of compatriot Lee Westwood.
