Robert Karlsson: Withdrew from The Open on Wednesday due to 'unspecified reasons'
Sweden's Robert Karlsson has withdrawn from the Open Championship which gets underway at Royal Lytham on Thursday.
The 42-year-old, who pulled out for 'unspecified reasons', will not be replaced meaning that the field now stands at 156 players.
However, Karlsson's absence has seen organisers re-order the draw with the first group now teeing off at 6.30am, rather than 6.19am, on Thursday morning.
That group will feature Barry Lane, James Driscoll and also now Garth Mulroy, who had been scheduled to play with Richard Finch in a two-ball.
Instead Finch will now take Karlsson's spot in the group that tees off at 1.10pm alongside Mark Wilson and Branden Grace.
