Colin Montgomerie tees-up in US Open qualifying at Walton Heath on Monday
Ninety-six players are teeing-up, from which 11 spots are available, and it is highly unlikely that either of the two European captains will make it all the way to Merion, Pennsylvania in mid-June.
Olazabal's last US Open was 2007 while Monty - who turns 50 next month - has not contested any Major championship since 2010.
Monty is currently ranked No 653 in the world and is 150/1 to win the qualifying tournament, while the Spaniard is an even more lowly 200/1.
The lowest price on offer is 20/1 for Italy's Matteo Manaserro, while Alexander Noren and Ross Fisher are next on the list.
