UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will make her first title defence against Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 on July 9.

Tate (18-5) claimed the women's 135-pound belt with a dramatic fifth-round submission of Holly Holm at UFC 196 last month.

The 29-year-old American has won five consecutive fights since her second loss to former champion Ronda Rousey in December 2013.

Holm took Rousey's belt last year with a stunning knockout victory. Rousey is not expected to return to the octagon until later this year.

Nunes (12-4), a 27-year-old Brazilian, has won five of her six UFC fights, losing only to former title contender Cat Zingano.
