The 25-year-old says she has been notified by the Jamaica Anti-doping Commission (JADCO) of their finding of a banned diuretic but says she is innocent and that she is stunned to have failed the dope test.
Five Jamaican athletes are reported to have tested positive at the trials and Randall has become the third to be named, following sprinters Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson.
However, in a statement to Jamaican Radio station RJR 94 FM, Randall said: "I have not intentionally taken any banned substance. I have been vigilant with everything I consume, so I am extremely shocked and surprised by this incident.
"I have never even seen steroids and don't know the first thing about them.
"I am willing to undergo any other testing methods to prove my innocence. I love throwing the discus for my country and I hope this incident clears up after my 'B' sample has been tested."
Randall holds the Jamaican discus record (61.21m) and competed at the Olympics in London last year, although she failed to reach the final.
Her statement follows a bad weekend for athletics, during which the positive tests of the five Jamaicans were revealed, as well as the news that former double world champion Tyson Gay of America has tested positive for a substance which has yet to be named.
