Great Britain's Samantha Murray won gold at the season-opening World Cup pentathlon event in Sarasota.
The world champion, who won Olympic silver at London 2012, was joined on the podium in the United States by team-mate Kate French, who took third place.
Murray, 25, from Lancashire fended off US competitor Margaux Isaksen on the final run-shoot combined stage to seal her win while fellow Briton Kate French was third.
GB performance director Jan Bartu said: "These results far exceeded our expectations. They show that the athletes and the coaching and support teams are on track in preparations for the Rio (Olympic) Games."
