Bobsledder Joel Fearon has become the joint-third fastest British sprinter over 100 metres by clocking 9.96 seconds at the English Championships in Bedford.
The 27-year-old Birchfield Harrier surpassed the 9.97secs personal bests of Adam Gemili and Dwain Chambers, elevating himself to a share of third place on the British all-time list alongside Chijindu Ujah.
Fearon's feat put him among an elite group of only six British men to have run the 100m in sub-10 seconds - and behind only Linford Christie and and James Dasaolu, who have respective PBs of 9.87s and 9.91s.
He will not compete at next month's Olympics Games in Rio, where Dasaolu, Ujah and James Ellington have already been selected to represent Team GB in the 100m.
Gemili will run in the 200m in Rio and will also be part of Great Britain's 4x100m relay team.
Fearon previously represented Great Britain as part of the four-man bobsleigh team which finished fifth at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. He was also part of the GB 4x100m relay squad at the 2013 World Championships in Russia.
