Feeling fat

Wiggins thinks the 2013 Tour de France route is going to be "a tough one". "They never look easy, especially in October when you feel fat and haven't been on the bike for four weeks," he said. "There are some challenging things in there, the team time-trial is quite short. "That whole element of staying in front and not crashing is going to come into it massively next year." On his own chances, he said: "I never thought the Tour would ever suit me. I said a few years ago I don't think I'd ever win the Tour de France. "On paper, I'd prefer more time-trialling but you can't always get that."
Anger
Wiggins also had some harsh words for Lance Armstrong after the disgraced American was stripped of his seven Tour titles earlier this week. "I think there is a lot of anger from most people within the sport, it is a sport I love and have always loved," he said. "It is a shame that cycling is being dragged through this again really, not a shame that he has been caught - when you get older you start to realise Father Christmas doesn't exist and it is the same with Lance. "But it is a shame that us riders here now, we are the one picking the pieces up and having to convince people."
