Emma Pooley wins stage eight of women's Giro d'Italia as Marianne Vos retains overall lead

Britain's Emma Pooley claimed her second victory in three days at the Giro d'Italia Internazionale Femminile by winning solo on stage eight.

The Lotto Belisol rider crossed the line in San Domenico di Varzo five seconds ahead of second-placed Mara Abbott and 29 seconds ahead of third-placed Anna van der Breggen.
