Mark Cavendish will once again begin his season at the Tour de San Luis in Argentina in January.

The 29-year-old Briton has ridden the mountainous stage race for the past two seasons and although he has only managed to accrue one stage win, he has opted to return in 2015.

Cavendish will be joined in the Etixx – Quick-Step team by new world road race champion Michal Kwiatkowski.

"I have had some great moments at this race," Cavendish said. "I have been there the last two years and I think it's one of the best ways to prepare for the season.

“For me, it's important because I won my first race there with Omega Pharma - Quick-Step in 2013, so I look forward to more success in the near future at this race."
