Fran Millar

One of the busiest members of Team Sky, Fran Millar holds a dual role as both Director of Business Operations and Head of Winning Behaviours.

Returning to head up all the team's "off bike" functions in 2015, her responsibilities include overseeing team's marketing and communications strategy, stakeholder management, and all the commercial and legal aspects that come with running the world's number one cycling team.

In her role as Head of Winning Behaviours, Fran looks after Team Sky's values, culture and people. A role introduced at the end of 2013 when the team had successfully won two consecutive editions of the Tour de France, its primary function is to focus the organisation on continuous improvement, ensuring every member of the team is constantly striving to get the best out of themselves.

Fran has worked alongside Sir Dave Brailsford since 2007, and after helping build Team Sky from the bottom up, has remained at the heart of the team since its inception in February 2009.

With older brother David having retired from the sport last year after 18 years as a professional, Fran has not only grown up in cycling, but has an innate understanding of the sport that has helped her massively in her role. 

She said: "Having worked in cycling since the age of 20, I always dreamt of being part of a British professional cycling team. 

"When Dave approached me with the idea of building a team capable of putting a clean British rider on the top step of the podium on the Champs Elysees, it was an inspiring and ambitious enough project for me to leave my own business to help accomplish it. 

"I'm immensely proud of what we've achieved in the time since then and look forward to being a part of the team's continued growth in the future."
