Check out our new high-visibility training range which aims to help keep cyclists safer on the road.

Team Sky are excited to announce the launch of Rapha’s official Team Sky training range.

Rapha’s product development team designed the range after detailed consultation with Team Sky’s riders and staff, and have produced highly visible training garments which come into their own when riders train solo, in smaller groups, and during low-light conditions.

By using the trademark Team Sky blue more predominantly, along with reflective fabrics and design cues from Rapha’s most popular styles, the range means riders stand out, and their efforts are made more visible.

Bernhard Eisel was one of the riders most involved in the development process, and explained why the range is so important to him.

He said: “I know that to reach my goals, to get results, I need to be up and out earlier, and ride for longer than the rest.

“To put in the distance in the off-season, out on my own, flying along, I need to feel safe. My race kit is my business suit but when I’m on my own, my brightest, loudest kit is my body armour. Because I know, when I wear it you’ll see me.”

Head of Performance Operations Rod Ellingworth echoed Eisel’s sentiments, and believes the range will have a constructive effect of performance.

He said: "It is imperative that we give our riders the best performance kit out there, for racing and for training.

“The new team-issue training items supplied by Rapha allows riders to stand out and feel safe, wherever they are. Anything that helps the team train more confidently is a big win for us."

Team Sky will continue to race in black, but our riders will have the choice to train in the predominantly blue training kit in away from the team set up.
