Sky Ride 2015 kicks off in Plymouth

The first Sky Ride Big Bike Event of 2015 will be held in Plymouth on Sunday.

Cyclists of all ages and abilities can ride on an 8km traffic-free route around the River Plym, just outside the city centre.

The event takes place from 9.30am to 1.30pm, and there is also a shorter route available for those who cannot manage the full distance.

If you don’t have a bike, don’t worry, because you can hire one from Plymouth Bike Hire from £10 for kids’ bikes and £15 for adult bikes.

If you take your own bike along, Halfords will be on hand to give it a free once-over worth £14.99.

BMX star Charlotte Green will be the special guest, while there will also be a “Tricks & Tunes” area and a Bike Café to drop in on.
