Emanuele Sella of the CSF Group team won the 20th stage of the Giro d'Italia from Rovetta to Tirano on Saturday. The Italian rider attacked 30 kilometres from the finish on the final climb and won alone in Tirano to secure his third stage victory of the race. Compatriot Gilberto Simoni finished second, one minute and four seconds behind Sella with Spain's Joaquin Rodriguez third at 1:22 behind. Spain's Alberto Contador of the Astana team retained his overall lead after finishing fifth and is now favourite to win the event that ends in Milan on Sunday with a 28.5km individual time trial.
