Frenchman sprints to victory in Limoges

Bbox Bouygues Telecom's William Bonnet sprinted to his first major victory on the second stage of the Paris-Nice. The Frenchman edged out Peter Sagan (Liquigas) on the line at the conclusion of the 201-kilometre route from Contres to Limoges. Luis Leon Sanchez of Caisse D'Epargne, who had made the first move, came home third. The finish was marred by Grega Bole's high-speed crash inside the final kilometre that left several riders, including Jimmy Casper, strewn across the tarmac. "This is my first big win, I've been waiting a long time for it," said Bonnet, 27. "I managed to avoid the collision in the last mile and caught up with Sanchez, who started the sprint with 400 metres to go." Lars Boom of Rabobank finished 73rd on the day, in the same time as Bonnet, to retain the race leader's yellow jersey. Team Sky's Greg Henderson, fresh from his stage win the previous day, was 25th across the line and remains in sixth place in the general classification.
