Dutch team dominate prologue

Rabobank dominated the prologue of Ster Elektrotoer by claiming four of the top five positions in Gemert. The Dutch outfit had been keen to impress on home soil and did just that with Jos Van Emden pipping team-mate Lars Boom to the leader's jersey after hurtling around the 6.8km circuit in seven minutes and 41 seconds. Van Emden's time was three seconds faster than Boom's, with another Rabobank rider, Sebastian Langeveld, a further four seconds behind in third. Saxo Bank's Alex Rasmussen was the fastest non-Rabobank rider, three seconds behind Langeveld in fourth, while Greg Henderson (+17) went quickest for Team Sky in 13th. After the race Team Sky sports director Steven de Jongh told their official website: "Some of our guys were a bit disappointed to have lost the time that they did but there were some strong winds today and that will have played a part. "Greg delivered a really good ride though and he'll be looking to claw back some bonus seconds in the days to come which will hopefully see him right up there in the general classification. "Tomorrow's stage is flat for most of the day before a few small climbs emerge on the final circuit. I'm still expecting a bunch sprint though and hopefully Greg will be in contention at the end there. We're all looking forward to it."
