Back-to-back champions Virtus Pro will face OpTic Gaming in the Grand Finals of Sunday's Dota 2 Major in Birmingham.

The first ESL One Major in the UK has been a phenomenal success, with sell-out crowds filling the Birmingham Arena with one goal in mind - watching great Dota. So far, they have not been disappointed.

Two massive names in the scene, Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid, were sent crashing out of the group stage, paving the way for the up-and-coming Fnatic and OpTic to progress to the final four, with the latter team coming out on top.

Victory in Birmingham would mean a guaranteed direct invite to the International, the World Cup of Dota 2 hosted by developers Valve every summer.

However, to reach their goal, they will need to get past Virtus Pro, a CIS team who have ruled the competitive season with an iron fist, and who now await in the Grand Finals of the US $1m tournament.

Reigning champions Virtus Pro continued their merciless run here at the Birmingham Major, and are now one win away from securing their third ESL One title and their fourth Major of the season.
