Galway name Corofin duo in team for London clash
Thursday 2 May 2019 16:26, UK
Kevin Walsh has included Corofin duo Liam Silke and Ian Burke in his starting Galway team for the Connacht quarter-final against London.
The Tribesmen head to Ruislip on Sunday, looking to secure safe passage through to a semi-final against Sligo.
The reigning Connacht champions welcome back a number of key players, including the Corofin contingent who missed the Allianz League campaign due to their involvement in the All-Ireland Club Championship. Silke and Burke go straight into the starting team, but there is no room for recently-crowned Club Player of the Year Kieran Molloy.
Meanwhile, Antaine Ó Laoi, David Wynne, John Daly and Padraig Cunningham make their championship debuts.
Captain Damien Comer is sidelined, as he targets a mid-June return following an ankle injury.
London will be hoping to cause an upset, after a league campaign which featured just one win, as they aim to make home advantage count.

1. Ruairi Lavelle

3. Seán Andy Ó Ceallaigh
