"I felt isolated and unwelcome in the set-up."

Offaly footballer Nigel Dunne has confirmed that he has left the county set-up.
Reports over the last week suggested that the Faithful footballer had departed from the panel due to a falling out with manager John Maughan.
On Monday morning, Dunne took to social media to clarify the situation:
"The manager was aware of personal issues going on in my life. The text I sent saying I was leaving the panel was a result of weeks of an uncomfortable environment for me personally. I felt isolated and unwelcome in the set-up.
"I appreciate my reputation goes before me but this is a different scenario. It's best for all involved. Best of luck to the players and management for the remainder of the year."
Dunne made headlines last summer after the loss to Wicklow which led to the end of Stephen Wallace's reign in the county.
Offaly now face a scrap to retain their Division 3 status, after an eight-point loss to Down on Saturday, and the Faithful County must get at least one win in their remaining games against Laois and Sligo if they are to have a chance of surviving.
