Belfast Giants moved five points clear at the top of the Elite League with a 5-3 win over Coventry Blaze in the first of their home double header at the Odyssey Arena on Friday.
Blaze went ahead through Matic Kralj at 6.31 while the hosts were two men down, but Robert Dowd tied the scores at 14.18 before Shea Guthrie put Blaze back in front at 16.48.
Dowd netted again on 18.00 to make it 2-2 then Jon Pelle scored a powerplay goal for the Giants on 30.58 and Aaron Clarke made it 4-2 at 48.34.
Robert Farmer pulled one back at 57.22 to set up a tense finish, but at 58.58 Adam Keefe fired into the empty net to ensure the points stayed with Doug Christiansen's side.
Cardiff Devils took all the points on their trip to Dundee with a 3-1 victory over the Stars to take the Welsh side into fifth spot in the standings.
Phil Hill scored the only goal of the opening period at 10.23 to give the Devils a 1-0 lead, before John Dolan fired home at 21.04 to level the scores.
Visiting skipper Stuart Macrae scored at 24.55 and Kenton Smith netted at 34.10 to put the Devils two in front, before a goalless final period ensured the win for Cardiff.
