The goals came in each of the first two periods as the Yorkshire side moved third in the table, though Dundee Stars have a game in hand and are also on 30 points.
Also on Boxing Day, Josh Batch netted a hat-trick as Cardiff Devils saw off Coventry Blaze 6-4 in a pulsating clash at the SkyDome Arena.
Coventry led 2-0 through Ryan Ginand and Shea Guthrie but Cardiff scored four in eight minutes in the second period, Batch's quickfire double book-ended by Chris Blight and Andrew Lord.
Ginand cut the deficit but Luke Piggott and Batch made Cardiff's win safe despite Ashley Tait's goal.
And Fife Flyers were 5-1 winners against Edinburgh Capitals in the battle of the league's bottom two teams.
