NHL: LA Kings' Slava Voynov suspended after arrest
Monday 20 October 2014 20:46, UK
Los Angeles Kings defenceman Slava Voynov has been suspended indefinitely by the National Hockey League following his arrest on charges of domestic violence.
The 24-year-old will continue to be paid in full, but will not be able to participate in any club activities ahead of a formal investigation.
It was not clear what led to Voynov's arrest, and the NHL gave no other details about the incident.
Russian Voynov, who agreed a six-year, £15.5m million contract extension with LA in June 2013, has two assists in six games for them this season.
