The 2012 British Superbikes calendar has been announced, with the series next year visiting Assen in the Netherlands.

The 2012 British Superbikes calendar has been announced, with the series next year taking in the famous Assen circuit in the Netherlands for the first time. The season comprises a total of 12 rounds and 26 races, starting at Brands Hatch on Easter weekend - the first of three visits to the Kent track. In all, BSB will visit eight tracks in the UK as well as Assen, whose TT circuit is more usually associated with a round of the MotoGP world championship. That round will be one of three which will make up British Superbikes' 'Showdown', in which the top six runners will contest the title. Tommy Hill beat John Hopkins to the championship at Brands Hatch last month, and the grand prix circuit will again host next year's deciding round. 2012 MCE Insurance BSB Calendar:6.7.8.9 April - Brands Hatch Indy
