Australian Josh Brookes completed a winning double in the Dutch round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Assen to extend his lead in the title race.
The Milwaukee Yamaha rider led throughout the opening race but had a fight on his hands in the second which was twice delayed by heavy showers.
Brookes opted to race with slick tyres on a drying track and despite a scary moment which dropped him four places he was soon back in contention, heading off James Ellison on the JG Speedfit Kawasaki for a second time.
He now has nine wins this season and a lead of 28 points over the defending four-times champion Shane Byrne who ran fourth and fifth on his PBM Kawasaki.
