The World Cup of Gymnastics to be broadcast on Sky Sports

World Cup Gymnastics is coming to Sky Sports on Saturday

Sam Oldham, Amy Tinkler, Georgia-Mae Fenton and Brinn Bevan will lead the British charge at the iPro Sport World Cup of Gymnastics at The O2 Arena in London on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 2 HD and Sky Sports Mix from 1pm. 

With 14 major championship medals between them, the British superstars will spearhead an international field of the world's best in this major global event invited to compete in the prestigious 'all-around' competition.

Oldham, London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist and two-time silver medal winner on high bar at the European Championships, will also compete on the world stage again.

Bevan, who was part of the first men's team to win a Team medal at a World Gymnastics Championships for Great Britain in Glasgow in 2015, has his sights set on wowing the home crowd again in London.

"It's always a huge achievement to be called up to the big stage for your country. I've had a bit of break since the amazing experience of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and can't wait to get back into action.

"This World Cup is going to be at another level, the best arena in the world with the best crowd and some new ideas and innovations that will be great for gymnastics."

Sam Oldham insists he's feeling in great shape ahead of the World Cup of Gymnastics

Georgia-Mae Fenton, 16, will replace Ellie Downie, who has been battling a minor foot problem suffered in the vault competition at the British Championships.

Fenton, who placed fourth all-around at the British Championship and took silver on bars said: "I feel really sorry for Ellie as I know how much she was looking forward to this event. For me it is a huge opportunity to compete in the biggest event of my career so far.

"Growing up in the GB squads it's been a dream of mine to compete for my country in front of a home crowd. My form at the British Championships was good and I feel ready to perform."

The World Cup of Gymnastics will feature nine male and nine female gymnasts including Ukraine's Oleg Verniaiev the parallel bars Olympic Champion and 16-year-old Russian sensation Angelina Melinikova, the 2016 Rio Olympic Games team silver medallist.

The women will compete in the afternoon on vault, uneven bars, beam and floor, while the men will compete in the evening over six testing apparatus (floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and the high bar).

Olympic medalist Beth Tweddle and Nile Wilson will be part of the Sky Sports panel, with Natalie Pinkham presenting Saturday's live coverage, from 1-4 on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports Mix for the women's competition, and 7-11 on Sky Sports Mix and Sky Sports 3 joining at 7.30pm for the men's competition.
