The ZEO Netball Superleague tips off on Thursday night as Hertfordshire Mavericks host Celtic Dragons live on Sky Sports 3 from 7.30pm. Here's our guide to the eight teams taking part this season.
MANCHESTER THUNDER
COACH: Tracey Neville
LAST SEASON: Fifth
CAPTAIN: Sara Bayman
NEW PLAYERS: Australian import shooter Alix McDermott, Sara Hale has made the switch from Celtic Dragons and Jodie Gibson returns following two years away at Loughborough Lightning.
STRENGTHS: There are plenty of England stars in the Thunder mix including captain Sara Bayman, Laura Malcolm and Emma Dovey plus the experience of coach Tracey Neville - sister of Sky Sports football expert Gary - who will make the Manchester club a force to be reckoned with.

YORKSHIRE JETS
COACH: Anna Carter
LAST SEASON: Sixth
CAPTAIN: Lauren Potter
NEW PLAYERS: Imports Kendra Falefitu, Millie Ironside and Lindal Rohde
STRENGTHS: They'll be a real unknown dynamic with the imports in the squad. The Jets will be looking to push up their level to join in the fight in the top half of the table.

TEAM NORTHUMBRIA
COACH: Kate Carpenter and Lisa Stanley-Craig
LAST SEASON: Seventh
CAPTAIN: Darcie Worsdale
NEW PLAYERS: Many of the Northern Ireland team play at Northumbria and that includes Niamh Cooper, Caroline O'Hanlon and the experienced Noleen Lennon.
STRENGTHS: It will be a very interesting season with the Irish influence taking over in the North-East. Star shooter Toetsie Kambatuku will be hoping that her international team mates can propel Team Northumbria further up the league.

LOUGHBOROUGH LIGHTNING
COACH: Marg Foster and Shelley Norris
LAST SEASON: Eighth
CAPTAIN: Jess Waitapu and Lauren Steadman
NEW PLAYERS: Imports are Elizabeth Hayman and Moniek van Rossum from Canterbury Tactix and Jess Waitapu from the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. Homegrown talent Becky James and Nicola Caunt return to the club. Rochelle Powel joins from Yorkshire Jets, Holly Sims joins from the Mavericks Youth squad and Neala Brennan makes up the line-up.
STRENGTHS: Another side with a strong influence from abroad, Lightning will be hoping a big shake up of their squad will see them push further up the table this season and continue the fight to finish in the top half of the table.
