On Soccer AM...

Image: Dicks: Hammers legend!

Julian Dicks, This is England star Michael Socha and LA's punk disco gang, Funeral Party!

Let the countdown begin for another two hours of goals, goals, goals and the best line-up of guests you'll find anywhere on a Saturday morning! Kicking things off in the studio will be former West Ham star Julian Dicks! Nicknamed The Terminator, Dicks had a reputation for being one of the fiercest player's of his generation. Loved by all Hammers fans for his no nonsense approach when it came to tackling - the former left-back was sent off nine times in his career - but was as well known for his thunderbolt penalties and free-kicks as his fearless and bone-crunching challenges. His spot kick during West Ham's 2-2 draw against Manchester United in 1996 was evidence of the power he possessed in his left foot, and fans watched it awe as it flew passed a helpless Peter Schmeichel at an incredible 99mph! Now a manager at Grays Athletic, we'll be getting his view on the goings on at Upton Park this season and finding out how he has adapted to life on the other side of the white line.

Sought after

Also on this week's show will be actor Michael Socha! Best known for his roles in Shane Meadows's film This is England, and then the TV series This is England '86, Socha is fast becoming one of the countries most sought after young actors. The 23-year-old is among a band of young talent that have set the small screen alight and he will be talking to Helen and Max about his latest role in BBC3's , Being Human. The Derby born star, who has also starred in Channel 4 drama Unloved, plays Tom in the popular werewolf horror-drama series, but nearly missed out on the role after being hit by a taxi shortly before the audition! He'll no doubt be revealing how he managed to land the part in the end, and of course we'll be chatting football with the Derby fan ahead of the Rams' clash with fierce rival Nottingham Forest!

Punk disco gang

Last but no means least this week will be LA's punk disco gang, Funeral Party! After spending a few years amassing a strong local following, the California five-piece scored a major label record deal and the boys from across the pond are making waves. Signed to RCA - a subsidiary of Sony Music - the band were number 47 on NME's '50 Best New Bands of 2010', a far cry from their DIY days when they had no choice but to borrow equipment from bands they played with at backyard parties and warehouses. Despite their humble beginnings the boys have risen from the East L.A. party scene and have made their presence known worldwide and the release of their debut album, Golden Age of Knowhere, is only likely to enhance their reputation. Chad, James and Kimo will all be in the studio to talk about their music, and as ever we'll be finding out if our American cousins enjoy the beautiful game as much as we do! That wraps up this week's guests, but we've got all your favourites too including, Pat McGroin with the news, Showboat, Unbelievable Tekkers, QPR's Crossbar Challenge, Ant and Dec and Skill Skool, which reaches a whole new level with our freestylers! Plus, David Jones and Karl Henry dish the dirt on their Wolves team-mates and Tubes takes on Blackpool duo DJ Campbell and Charlie Adam at a game of snooker! So be sure to tune in to Soccer AM, Saturday, 10am, on Sky Sports 2 & Sky One!
