Arsenal legend Bob Wilson is set to cycle to every Premier League Club in England, all in the name of charity!

Bob set to visit all Prem Clubs

Cycling 500 miles to every Premier League Club in England is what Arsenal legend, Bob Wilson, is taking on, aged almost 70. Setting off on Monday April 18, Bob will cycle to each club plus Scotland's Hampden Park, meeting sporting colleagues along the way, and aims to raise more than £250,000 for his charity, the Willow Foundation. The former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper founded the Willow Foundation, which provides empowering and memorable special days for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds. The charity was founded with his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna, who died of a rare cancer aged just 31. Backed by the Premier League, Bob will take on the tough challenge, kicking off the 500 mile trip at Fulham's Craven Cottage, and will be joined on his bike by Lee Dixon, Les Ferdinand and David Seaman! Around the country Bob will be greeted at Wolverhampton Wanderers by manager Mick McCarthy; Stoke City, former player Gordon Banks; Manchester United: legend Bobby Charlton; Blackpool, goalie Matt Gilks; Sunderland: athlete Steve Cram and at Newcastle United, goalie Steve Harper. Bob expects to complete his adventure in Scotland on Friday April 29. The tough cycle aims to highlight the difficult emotional challenges of daily life experienced by thousands of seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds and their families throughout the UK. Money raised will go directly towards the Willow Foundation's quality of life experiences, making a real and positive difference at a time when people need it most. "Turning 70, I wanted to achieve something special in my 71st year with this 500 mile cycle," said Bob. "70/71 is already a significant number for me as it was my greatest year in football - winning the European Fairs Cup in 1970 and one year later , the coveted League Championship and FA Cup 'double'. "Combining another big achievement some 40 years later with a chance to support so many young people living with serious illness means so much to me." Donations can be made online, in support of Bob, or in memory of a loved one at www.justgiving.com/BobWilsonSoccerCycle Or text WILLOW to 70050 to donate £1.50 during April, in association with 02. The £1.50 donation will be added to your next phone bill, plus your standard network text charge. Willow will receive your donation net of charges applied by mobile phone operators.
