It's full speed ahead for Soccer AM's Genk bus after a Belgian newspaper gets behind the road trip!
Full speed ahead for Genk bus
Support for
Soccer AM's Genk bus is growing, and rapidly!
A national newspaper in Belgium has picked up on the show's plans to drive to Genk, and while our Flemish isn't the best we think they're excited!
What started off as one of Max's random ramblings on Twitter has snowballed into something even odder.
Max decided he liked the name Genk so much that we should make them our official Champions League team.
And somewhere along the line - most likely on Twitter - the idea to drive to the Belgian city to see KRC Genk take on Chelsea on November 1st was born.
Genk vice-captain Daniel Tozser's appearance on the
Soccer AM sofas on Saturday seems to have caught the eye of the Belgian press, after the story appeared in the country's biggest newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.
And while it wasn't exactly a back page splash, it's more press than we've ever got in Belgium before... at least we assume it is!
Anyway, if you want to read it for yourself (and maybe translate it for us) here's the
online version!
And keep an eye out for more Genk bus updates...
