Red Bull gives them wings!

Stephen Graham and Anatol Yusef revealed they were flying after meeting Thierry Henry in New York!

The might be Hollywood stars, but Stephen Graham and Anatol Yusef revealed they were like nervous school boys when they met Thierry Henry!

The Boardwalk Empire actors were filming in New York when Yusef bumped into Henry backstage during an Elton John concert.

The Arsenal legend has been plying his trade on the other side of the Atlantic with MLS outfit New York Red Bulls, and invited Gunners fan Yusef to go and watch him in action.

And just when they thought things couldn't get any better, the World Cup winner turned up on set with a surprise for Liverpool fan Graham!

"He came down on to the set on Stevie G's birthday," Anatol told Soccer AM.

"We were quite nervous on the day because we knew he was going to be coming down but we didn't know when he was going to arrive.

"So we started doing this scene - and it was a lovely little scene - and every so often I'd go to Steve 'he's here, he's here!'.

"Then he came in and sat down and watched and (Graham) got very, very nervous! About half-way through shooting (Henry) called me over and said 'hey look, look'.

"He showed me his phone and there was a message which said 'Tell Steve Graham he's a top bloke, a top actor and anytime he wants a night out in Liverpool, it would be great to see him'. I scrolled down and it was from Steven Gerrard, happy birthday!"

"It's a bit weird isn't it!?" added Stephen. "Two legends in football!"

Scorsese

That's not to say they're both this starstruck all the time, however.

Rubbing shoulders with Hollywood's finest on a regular basis has clearly become the norm for the boys after Stephen revealed he was passing up an opportunity to spend some time with Martin Scorsese!

The legendary director, who had the final say on both men getting their roles in Boardwalk Empire, is in the country to promote a new film, but Stephen said he would be spending time with his family rather than meeting up with one of the most famous men in the world.

"It's a Sunday roast isn't it!? I'm sorry, but if he had done it on a Saturday then maybe," he joked.

"No, I'm working all next week so I want to have a Sunday with the kids, Grace and Alfie and the missus, so I'll be at home."

Reds

A lifelong Reds fan, Graham says he has been buoyed with the start Kenny Dalglish's men have made to the season.

The Anfield side have suffered two defeats from their opening seven games this term, but Graham believes Kenny Dalglish's return to the club has lifted everyone and is positive about the future.

"We've got a fantastic team I think, and The King - long live The King - is back and the new King Steven Gerrard is back," he told Helen and Max.

"We're like a fine wine and it takes time to mature. How long was Alex Ferguson (at Manchester United) before he won a medal? He was there for a while and now Kenny's back and you can feel the buzz and the atmosphere."
