Genk bus live!

11.13pm: An epic night in Genk! Daniel Tozser and co surprised everyone - not least us if we're honest - by earning a very credible draw against Chelsea. In truth Chelsea will probably feel they should have won this game with the clear cut chances they created, but take nothing away from Genk, it was a fantastic performance helped by the incredible atmosphere inside the stadium. We're back on the bus and heading for home now and all that is left to say is All Aboard The Genk Bus! We'll see you on Saturday! 6.50pm Enjoy the match boys and girls! We'll see you after the game! 6.31pm:And we're on the way to the ground! The moment we've all been waiting for is almost upon us! Everyone with the exception of Tubes (Chelsea all the way) is hoping Genk can at least get a goal. Those of you on twitter are a little more optimistic than us though! All Aboard The Genk Bus! 5.37pm: So it all got a bit scary about half an hour ago. Genk and Chelsea fans clashed briefly and to be honest we were a little bit close to action. The police seem to have diffused the situation and we've moved well away. Phew! Our cameraman Pete caught some of the action. 4.00pm: Amazingly Rocket's dad has just appeared (lookalike) trying to sell us some scarves. Elsewhere, Tubes has been mobbed countless times by Chelsea fans, while Genk fans are really starting to take to us. In particular to Rocket, who has been given a watch by one fan... all a bit weird. 3.17pm: A local journo has led us to a watering hole. Interesting is the best way to describe the walk through the centre of the town with Chelsea fans everywhere and most of us in Genk clobber. Everyone seems to love Tubes though, while work-ex Stu - dressed as a Smurf - has found some young admirers. 2.34pm: We've disembarked the Genk bus and are travelling into town in a "mini-bus" - the thing is there's nothing mini about it. This is like the Russian dolls of buses, can't wait to see what's we end up in next. 2.28pm: Jump Out Man has just received a text for Genk vice captain Daniel Tozser! Apparently he's confident of getting a win. Good on him. 2.25pm: OK so we're still waiting to have some lunch. A bit of filming around the ground was followed by some local press interviews with the crew. Apparently they're quite excited about us being here... or at least happy to pretend. 1.33pm:Right time for some lunch! Back soon... 1.25pmWE HAVE ARRIVED! The home of football has not let us down at all! Baby Elvis is giving us a guided tour having been here for Frankie Fryer. Some people are even impressed by the car park for some reason. We won't name names. Must just be the adrenaline. 1.13pmLooks like it's going to be a long night for Genk judging by the boys' predictions. Only Max is keeping the faith. I think it's fair to say that the rest of us would just like to see them score a goal. 1.12pm: Predictions for tonight: Tubes: Genk 1-5 Chelsea Baby Elvis: Genk 1-3 Chelsea Max: Genk 2-0 Chelsea Chris: Genk 1-4 Chelsea Rocket: Genk 1-4 Chelsea Dave: Genk 1-6 Chelsea Ash: Genk 1-5 Chelsea Rob: Genk 0-4 Chelsea James: Genk 0-3 Chelsea 12.51pm: We've just been informed by the driver that we're 42 minutes away. We didn't catch how many seconds... 12.08pm: Like nap time at a nursery (I assume) it's all gone very quiet on the Genk bus as the early start begins to take it's toll. So while the crew get their head down I'm going to bring you some more 'fun' facts! Fun fact number two: "The biggest tourist attraction of Genk is Bokrijk - an open-air museum consisting of authentic relocated buildings from all over Flanders." Note to self: Find out what Flanders is. 11.59am: So we're definitely in Belgium now and apparently we're only two hours away from Genk. Take out the pit stops and Baby Elvis has just pointed out we probably could have left London around now and still made the game. Still who doesn't want a 4.30am wake up call! 11.50am: Another pit stop and we're on our way! A couple of slices of pizza have gone down a treat, although Baby Elvis nearly missed the coach after spending a bit too much time in the toilet. In truth we were never going to leave without him, but that didn't stop us pretending to drive away. Banter! 10.54am: We're still not sure if we're in Belgium or not, but let's move passed that. The last sign we saw said we're 150km from Oost... somewhere, wherever that is. We know we should be paying more attention to the route but we got distracted trying to lock Max in the toilet by applying a lot of gaffer tape to it. Unsurprisingly he foiled us. It wasn't the best thought out plan. 10.31 We might be in Belgium now... no one's entirely sure. We'll keep an eye out for the next sign. Also the jury is no longer out on the two competition winners. They brought cakes with them. And we're easily bought.9.44am: The tunes have started! Rocket's iPod: Shy FX - Don't Wanna Know (Skill Skool track). Max's iPod: A Whole New World - from the Aladdin soundtrack... we think. 9.32am: And we're back! We lost signal there for a while. In the time that has passed Soccer AM A beat Soccer AM B 7-5. Max blamed a lack of width and a 3-2-1 formation for Soccer AM B's defeat. In other news we're in France now! 8.49am:On the train - it's getting hot on the coach so the boys have stepped off to stretch their legs and kick a football around... back soon! 8.29am: Oh dear Rob has spilt coffee all over his jeans. Luckily Max has a spare pair of jeans, unfortunately they're a bit (a lot) bigger around the waist area! Still it's better than having to wear Stu's Smurf trousers. 8.21am: Quick services stop and a lot of sweets and everyone is hyped up again... mainly on sugar. Services picture on twitter Notice how happy Jump Out Man Chris is... that's because he just had a bit more cough medicine than he should have! 7.55am: We're at the Euro Tunnel! 7.42am: James is claiming that his flowery lavender duvet is not actually his, but his siters... we're not convinced. In other news our competition winners on the bus are having a whale of a time! They seem pretty normal, although one of them has just admitted to having seen the film The Human Centipede, so we'll reserve judgement for now. 7.08am: Taking a break from fun facts to bring you the news from the back of the bus - apparently Rocket has just taken off his trousers. I can neither confirm or deny this rumour because I'm too scared to turn around. 7.05am: The caffeine is starting to wear off and the duvets are out... we know what you're thinking hardcore! Anyway we'll take this opportunity to give you some "fun" Genk facts, which we have spent ages researching and have not just lifted off Wikipedia. Fact number one: The Genk Body & Assembly factory of Ford Motor Company is the largest and most important employer in Genk today, employing some 5,000 people and building the Mondeo sedan and hatchback. 6.55am: Rocket: "This is up there with the best three days of my life. The first being my first match at Brentford." 6.50am: Max is refusing to sing for us. Apparently it's just not the same without his guitar. Gutted. 6.35am:Max: "This is one of those ideas that looks good on paper..." James: "What would happen if we get there and the game gets called?" Don't... just don't 6.30am: Rocket has dished out the bacon sandwiches and everyone is perking up a BIT. Stu the work-ex has actually come dressed as a Smurf... now that's commitment! Max is regaling stories of his stag-do to Amsterdam... it's really not as exciting as it sounds! 6.21am: Phew! I've found a spare battery in my bag ... crisis averted... for now! 6.06am: Second impressions: The Genk bus is nice without being overly swanky. And by that I mean we have a DVD player (pretty cool , I know) but no power points which poses a few issues... namely I don't think the battery life on this laptop is all too hot. This could be a very short live blog! 6.05am: First impressions: Not one person on this bus is a morning person, including me. Let's hope breakfast perks everyone up a bit, or it could be a looooong journey! 6.00am: Ladies and gentleman start your engines because we are on our way! And we're live!!!! Apologise I realise those three words should only be uttered by Martin Tyler, but it's early and I'm not used to this much caffeine in my system...Picture here
