Forward swaps ECHL for EIHL

Hull Stingrays have completed the signing of American forward Dominic Osman for the 2011-12 Elite League campaign. The 29-year-old Michigan native arrives at Hull Ice Arena having spent last season with Toledo Walleye in the ECHL, posting 10 goals and 15 assists in 56 matches. He joins player-coach Sylvain Cloutier, Jereme Tendler, Daniel Scott, Tristan Harper, Sam McCluskey and Jason Silverthorn on the roster for next season. Cloutier said: "Last season we had a big lack of secondary scoring. Our second unit struggled to put the puck in the net and at times we were carrying passengers and that hurt us. "Dominic has a great offensive threat, he has got a great shot, he is a great skater, he competes and never takes a night off. "He has got some speed, which is something we did not have a lot of last season, and he will relish the bigger ice here. "Last season in Toledo, when the AHL players came down, he did not get as much of a chance. But he knows he will be getting plenty of ice time with us and he is really looking forward to that. "We need guys to come to work and compete and Dominic will do that. He wants to help us build on what we did last season, he is excited about coming here and he will be a key guy for us."
