Elite Ice Hockey League: Jereme Tendler stars as Coventry Blaze beat Braehead Clan

Jereme Tendler scored twice as Coventry Blaze maintained their strong start to the Elite Ice Hockey League season with a 3-2 win over Braehead Clan.

Tendler's double sandwiched Derek Lee's strike as the Blaze took a 3-1 lead, Derek Roehl scoring on the powerplay for Braehead.

Roehl netted again in the third period to narrow the gap to one, but Coventry held on for a fifth win in their first six games.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Dundee Stars beat Hull Stingrays 5-2 with goals from John Mitchell, Bari McKenzie, Chris Blight, John Dolan and Rob Ricci.
