Young responds to loss to William Regal with win over Primo
Melina looked to get back on the ladder to the top of the Divas division after defeating Alicia Fox in this week's WWE Superstars main event.
The last time the duo met was back at SummerSlam where Melina returned from an eight month injury lay-off with a torn cruciate ligament to win the Divas Championship from then title-holder fox.
However Melina lost the title in unification match to Michelle McCool at Night of Champions and has looked off the pace in the ring ever since.
On Superstars though, there were signs that the old Melina had returned, as she athletically avoided the Axe Kick from Fox and manoeuvred her into a bridging pin position to pick up the pinfall.
There are many youthful competitors looking to make their mark in the WWE these days, none more so than Darren Young and Curt Hawkins.
Young responded to his defeat to William Regal last week by picking up a victory over Primo.
Kicked out
The former Nexus member - who has looked lost since being kicked out the renegade group, countered the Backstabber into a Full-Nelson Faceplant for the victory.
Curt Hawkins, after ditching his tag-team partner Vance Archer last week set off on the quest for singles glory by defeating Trent Barreta.
Just like last week with Archer, Hawkins finished Barreta off with his Heat Seeking Elbow drop from the turnbuckle.
The faltering duo of Team LayCool suffered another loss on Superstars this week, with Layla losing to one-time rival for the Women's Championship Kelly Kelly.
Layla tried to provoke Natalya on the outside of the ring by setting up the Sharpshooter on Kelly but she escaped and pushed the Co-Divas Champion to the outside.
The referee then got distracted by McCool which allowed the blonde bombshell to roll up Layla and put another dent in Team LayCool's confidence before their title defence against Natalya at Bragging Rights.
