WWE TLC does not take place until Sunday - but there was anarchy aplenty at the end of Monday Night Raw in Newark, New Jersey.
John Cena was on the cusp of defeating Big Show in the evening's main event when he hoisted the World's Largest Athlete onto his shoulders, ready to deliver his trademark Attitude Adjustment.
But before Cena could drop his opponent to the mat, the Shield - Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns - stormed to the ring and attacked the Chain Gang Soldier, with the help of a re-energised Big Show, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion.
Cue carnage.
Team Hell No - who will team with Ryback at TLC in a six-man Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match against The Shield - joined the melee, as did Sheamus and Money in the Bank briefcase holder Dolph Ziggler, who had contested a match earlier in the night, that the former won via disqualification.
The ruckus resulted in Sheamus chasing Ziggler into the crowd, Cena spearing Big Show through a table and, as the Shield continued their beat-down on Team Hell No pair Daniel Bryan and Kane, the arrival of Ryback.
Big Hungry strode towards the squared circle to booming cheers from the WWE Universe and flattened the Shield trio with a ladder, something he will surely look to replicate at Sunday night's mouth-watering clash inside Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
Attend
Elsewhere, WWE Champion CM Punk, who has held his strap for over 380 days, revealed that the knee surgery that will prevent him from competing at TLC is legitimate - but that he will still attend this weekend's show, and if the match takes place, beat The Rock at January's Royal Rumble event.
Meanwhile, R-Truth pinned Wade Barrett; United States Champion Antonio Cesaro bested Intercontinental titlist Kofi Kingston; and Alberto Del Rio defeated Zack Ryder.
Team Rhodes Scholars - who also guested on MizTV - prevailed in a Fatal-Four-Way tag team match against The Usos, Primo and Epico and the Prime Time Players to seal a Tables Match meeting with Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara at TLC - with a shot at the Tag Team Titles the prize for the winner.
Plus, AJ Lee was cheated out of victory against Vickie Guerrero by rogue referee Brad Maddox - and showed her rage post-bout by destroying the announce desk, chucking chairs around and slapping ring announcer Justin Roberts in the face - and Divas Champion Eve saw off Alicia Fox.
