The Rock made a surprise return to WWE Raw on Monday night to confront Rusev and Lana.

The crowd was red-hot as The Rock showed up on WWE television for the first time since he shared beers with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XXX in April.

And Triple H says The People’s Champion – who has starred in a bevy of Hollywood movies, including The Scorpion King, Hercules and Fast & Furious 6 – remains most at home in WWE.

“It is awesome that as big as The Rock has become outside of WWE, you can see when he is here that there is nothing in the world like stepping into a ring and igniting the WWE Universe,” he told WWE.com.

“It is by far the greatest thing that he does – you could see the goosebumps on his body in one of the most electrifying moments in the history of Raw.”

Testament

Rusev and Lana were left seething by The Rock’s antics on WWE’s flagship show, but Triple H believes The Bulgarian Brute – who has yet to be pinned or submitted – and The Ravishing Russain should be honoured that The Great One felt the need to confront them.

WWE: Late Night - Smackdown

Plus, looking ahead to Friday’s special edition of Smackdown, which will celebrate 15 years since the programme first hit the air, The Game suggested that an intriguing clip of himself and The Rock will be broadcast.

“It is a testament to Rusev [and Lana] that The Rock found time in his busy schedule to come to Brooklyn to address them,” said WWE’s Chief Operating Officer.

“The Rock doesn’t make that time for just anybody.”

He added: “The Rock and I had a brief conversation after Raw in front of cameras and it was interesting to say the least.

“Let’s just say it’s tough to turn off the competitive juices between us…”
