Dolph Ziggler and Ryback secured spots in the Royal Rumble Match on Smackdown but Erick Rowan could not follow suit.

Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan, rehired after John Cena’s triumph during the main event of Raw on Monday evening, were welcomed back to the blue brand with good news: they would qualify for the Royal Rumble if they won their singles matches on Thursday night.

However, while Ziggler managed to down Bad News Barrett with a dropkick and a Zig Zag, and Ryback recorded a count-out victory over Rusev after their clash spilled outside the ring, Rowan’s hopes were crushed by his former Wyatt Family brethren Luke Harper.

Rowan ascended to the top rope after taking control of his bout but missed Harper when he leapt to the canvas and was promptly clocked with a brutal kick to the face before being pinned.

Daniel Bryan, though, was not so unlucky, rubberstamping his berth in Sunday’s multi-man melee by besting Kane in a thrill-a-minute, no disqualification match.

WWE: Late Night - Smackdown

The Submission Specialist and The Big Red Monster used steel steps, the ring post, the announce desk, kendo sticks and the ringside barricade to batter each other in Smackdown’s showpiece encounter, while J&J Security even interfered on Kane’s behalf.

But Bryan came out on top when he kicked out of his rival’s chokeslam and administered his trademark Running Knee, before the entire Smackdown locker room brawled in a taster of the carnage to come this weekend.

Roman Reigns was one of the many Superstars to stand tall at the end of the scuffle but had already made a Rumble vow during an interview when Renee Young earlier in the evening, promising to Superman punch anyone who stood between him and WrestleMania’s main event.

Plus, in Divas action, Brie Bella conquered Naomi with the Bella Buster as Paige and Natalya, the women The Bella Twins will face off with at Royal Rumble, watched on from the commentary booth.
