Protesters rushed onto the stage during disgraced swimmer Ryan Lochte's first performance on "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday evening.
Lochte, who was suspended for 10 months following his bogus robbery story at the Rio Olympics, was being reviewed for his dance routine when two people stormed the dance floor while others yelled angrily at the 32-year-old.
The protesters were quickly handled by security and ejected from the studio.
Lochte joined the show after admitting he "over-exaggerated" claims he and fellow swimmers were robbed at gunpoint while on a night out during the Rio Olympics.
Having vandalised a toilet at a petrol station, the quartet were confronted by armed guards and asked to pay for the damage.
Lochte, a six-time gold medal winner, subsequently claimed the group had been robbed at gunpoint, before apologising for his false story.
The tale humiliated first the Brazilian hosts of the Games and later Lochte's own Team USA, after police determined that he had largely fabricated his story.
Lochte, who is now seeking to rehabilitate his public image by appearing on the show, apologised for his conduct.
