British duo exit men's doubles in the second round
Chris Adcock saw the first half of his twin challenge at the Yonex All England Open Championships come to an end as he and Andrew Ellis were beaten in the men's doubles.
The 22-year-old Adcock and his partner Ellis were beaten in straight games by fifth-seeded Korean pair Jung Jae-sung and Lee Yong-dae in the second round in Birmingham.
The British duo, who were hoping to press their case for Olympic qualification, could not repeat Wednesday's impressive first-round fightback as they lost 21-13 21-15 in 42 minutes.
"We couldn't play at the same level as yesterday as we were playing a much stronger pair. They are good enough to win the title," Adcock said.
"We started slowly and made too many mistakes and at this level you can't do that. We will improve as we understand what you need to do at this level."
