UFC heads to Wisconsin for first time

British welterweight star Dan Hardy has been handed his dream bout after it was announced he will face Chris Lytle later this summer. Hardy and Lytle, two of the 170-pound division's most devastating strikers, top the bill as UFC heads to Wisconsin for the first time. Nottingham fighter Hardy, 28, made no secret of the fact he was desperate to take on former pro boxer Lytle who is known for his heavy hands and free-swinging style. Hardy, who has recently moved to Las Vegas for training, has also developed a reputation for his devastating power and fearless approach - setting up an explosive encounter which the two fighters and UFC fans are eagerly awaiting. He said: "This is the fight I've wanted and it's the fight the fans wanted. "Fans don't like boring fights. They want two guys in there who are willing to go to battle. "Chris Lytle always comes to fight, so this won't be a boring fight. I can guarantee that." Lytle, who boasts a record of 40-18-4, is equally excited about the prospect of facing Hardy. The 36-year-old said: "I don't like to take a fight unless I know it can potentially be the best, most exciting one of my career. "This fight has the potential to be that and more. I'm on a seek-and-destroy mission and I know that Dan is too. I'm really excited for this fight." The bout takes place at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on August 14. The undercard sees lightweight contenders Jim Miller and Ben Henderson fight in a bout which will determine who moves a step closer to a title shot. Light heavyweight star Stephan Bonnar returns to battle the menacing Karlos Vemola, while Amir Sadollah and Duane Ludwig engage in an exciting welterweight bout.
