Brit beaten again as he's forced to tap out against 'Lights Out'

UFC veteran Chris Lytle ends his career in impressive fashion, submitting Dan Hardy via guillotine choke in the third round. The two fighters promised fireworks leading up to their bout in Milwaukee, and they delivered. Lytle and Hardy met in the middle of the octagon and traded punches for the best part of three rounds. The fight looked like it was heading to a decision until Hardy attempted a take-down that his opponent was able to capitalise on, quickly applying a guillotine choke that forced the Brit to tap out. In his post-fight interview, Lytle shed some light on his decision to retire. "I just want to tell you guys that I honestly love being a fighter, I love being part of the UFC," he said. "I love it probably more than anything in my life, except for one thing, and that's my family. It's time for me to dedicate more time to them and quit putting myself first." The 36-year-old finishes his career on his own terms after 13 years in MMA, earning both "Fight of the Night" and "Submission of the Night" honours, along with a new Harley-Davidson Blackline Motorcycle. Former welterweight title challenger Hardy, in contrast, has now lost his last four fights inside the octagon.
