Mark Hunt added yet another knock-out to his highlight reel of stoppages after flattening fellow KO specialist Roy Nelson in Saitama, Japan.

The New Zealander, even at the age of 40, packs a punch like few others and although Nelson is also known for his ability to end fights with one blow, it was Hunt who secured a second-round victory on Saturday.

The Saitama Super Arena holds special significance for Hunt whose early career for Japanese organisation Pride made him a legend in the Far East. He has returned to fight in Japan three times in his current UFC career and earned knock-outs every time, with Nelson his latest victim.

The heavyweight pair made for a unique spectacle with their less than chiselled physiques and immediately signalled their intent to finish the night early by looking for decisive punches.

A first round of dangerous punches regularly thrown but usually avoided was followed in the second by Nelson attempting to take the fight to the floor, though not for long.

Hunt sealed the deal with a brutal uppercut - a strike he had frequently attempted - which sent Nelson crashing face-first to the canvas.

The Kiwi, before the referee even had a chance to step in, confidently walked off knowing it was over.

Previously at Fight Night in Japan, Takanori Gomi was knocked out for the first time in his veteran career by Myles Jury, and Yoshihiro Akiyama and Miesha Tate won decisions over Amir Sadollah and Rin Nakai, respectively.
