How 'need for speed' saw former skeleton champ Amy Williams switch to the rally track

"I'm still searching for something that scares me," says Amy Williams with a laugh. "Heights? No, I'm alright with heights. Creepy crawlies? I can deal with those."

Jardine has warned his sidekick the competition has only just begun. "Rallying's welcomed Amy with open arms," he says. "There's a camaraderie; they love the fact that there's a gold medallist among them but it will get more competitive as we get to the World Championships. There will be international crews from all over the world, wanting to beat Amy and me. "It's a steep learning curve - four rallies is probably the shortest time anyone's ever had to prepare for the Championship - but she's a cool customer. She'll be up for it." You bet she will. Watch Amy Williams and Tony Jardine on Sportswomen, repeated on Sky Sports 2 at 7pm and 11pm on Tuesday, and then available On Demand from midnight.
