Olympic gold medallist Sally Gunnell joins a special 'Sportsmums' programme on Sportswomen on Tuesday.

With the 2016 Games underway, the International Olympic Committee recognised that there was an increase in the number of female athletes, and therefore more pregnant women in top level sport.

In May, the IOC published the first of five papers on the subject of pregnancy and childbirth in elite athletes - but as we've been finding out, governing bodies in this country still have some work to do.

We also have plenty of contributions from across the sporting spectrum with Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jo Pavey, Catriona Matthew giving us their view - all three are competing in Rio at this summer's Games.

Six up for July's award

The contenders for the Sportswoman of the month award

Judy Murray, Sarah Storey, Anna Watkins and Mary King are among the other names we hear from and joining us for the show to discuss all the issues is Olympic gold medallist and mum-of-three Gunnell, who won memorable gold in Barcelona in 1992.
