Jeroen Dubbeldam made it an Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games to savour for Holland after he was crowned individual showjumping champion at Stade D'Ornano in Caen. Three days after Holland landed the world team title, 2000 Olympics individual winner Dubbeldam secured another gold medal following a dramatic title race. The event's top four riders after almost a week of jumping - Dubbeldam, Frenchman Patrice Delaveau, American Beezie Madden and Swede Rolf-Goran Bengtsson - faced a head-to-head battle. Apart from riding their own horses, they also had to perform on each other's, and Dubbeldam delivered four clear rounds. Delaveau took the silver medal with just one time fault across the four rounds, with Madden securing bronze and Bengtsson finishing out of the medals.
