Manchester will have to do without the services of Joe Tallari next season after the free-scoring forward opted to move to Italy.
The Canadian had scored 55 goals in 59 appearances for Phoenix last season, while he also posted 38 assists.
However, he has now decided to pursue a playing career in Italy.
Manchester player-coach Tony Hand said: "Joe has an Italian passport and indicated to us that, once the season ended, he wanted to investigate his chances of playing in Italy in order to try and qualify for the national team.
"Naturally we wanted him to stay but on the back of his excellent season for us a club in Italy has moved quickly to contact him and he's accepted a verbal offer to move there."
